Rooms designed by Christian Lacroix in Paris’s Marais district
The Hotel du Petit Moulin has 16 rooms and one Junior Suite
The rooms and suites at the Hotel du Petit Moulin in Paris, each one decorated in different style, all have their own particular colour scheme and character.
They are all decorated in a stylish, modern, bold, yet harmonious, style, where every tiny detail corresponds exactly to each room’s unique atmosphere.
“Each room had to tell the beginning of a story, a story to be completed by the travellers themselves.”
“We go from a rustic, Toile de Jouy-patterned Marais to a more Zen or “design” Marais, from a historic Marais in damask to a more playful Marais. From the racing green corridors, lined with lacquered black doors outlined in optical white on a polka-dot carpeted background, open up to reveal decors with pilasters, covings and “just for fun” consoles; modern bathrooms decorated in slate and concrete earthenware, warmed with Venetian mirrors; ceramic kaleidoscopes and panoramic wallpapers; Baroque, Rococo and “Couture” rooms; retroversion from purified 21st-century design to stylistic nods towards nostalgia, and shifts from masculine to feminine, from North to South, from flowers to stripes, from ancient gold to fluorescent green.”
